New Year's Resolutions: 2019 Edition.

I was going to start this post on a sad note but you know what, it's a new year, I'm leaving all that behind. I'm going to enjoy my life as it is and be grateful. A new year full of possibilities and opportunities to improve myself. 

Last year I did quite well on some of my resolutions, if you ask me. 5 out of 10? That's some improvement. I honestly thought I wouldn't complete any of them. This year I decided to be more ambitious... 

  1. I'm going to be productive, I'm tired of spending half of my life sleeping. Most of the time I just go to sleep because I want to avoid my responsibilities, none of that procrastination bs in my life. I'm done.
  2. I will learn a new language, even if it's just the basics but I'm determined to do it. My younger self wouldn't believe which one I chose. I hated it in high school, a lot. I felt it was complicated, hard to pronounce. It's 2019, high school is way over so I'm doing it. I'm learning french.
  3. Books, lots of them. I barely read anything but uni books last year, not fun at all. I'll dedicate at least one chapter a day. I truly enjoy reading and it's sad I "didn't have time" to do so.
  4. Write more. I don't know if it will be here or a notebook, I want to pour my thoughts somewhere and be at peace with myself. Maybe I'll read it next year and have a laugh, cry or get nostalgic.
  5. Give the best of me at uni, last semester I was exhausted before it was over and didn't perform as I wanted. I have so much to give, this is just the beginning and I will make myself proud.

Now that they're written down, the year can properly begin.
